I would like to know where can I download the Englis patch for ALO?  I suggest you don't rely on english patch cuz it will always error :x |

ShayI should admit that I am attempting to create something that will allow ALO to update the files after I translate parts to english(that way, no errors).. Cause doing it weekly is what kills me. AegonCurrently in progress (things I am personally working on): -Cowboy Drop List (expect it to be done by tuesday) -Sakura Drop List (expect it to be done by next thursday) @all Anything else?

Shay I used to do about equal with mod pay xD.. Would give someone my mod pay and they would buy ~27.50 worth of AG in ALO for me.

Hi, there! Good to know that someone else does the translations. I've been doing it every week for many years now. I even had a forum where i used to upload it for my friends. I don't know if you started your translation from scratch like me or used mine as start, either way keep the good work. My translations never caused any error and in any case it was easy to remove since the files are always on separated folder of the official files and not integrated on the .dat files. I've stopped uploading the files because it was being downloaded and spreaded like wildfire, some people were even trying to sell it  Nowadays i only make it for me and 3 close friends. (But even so it started to spread again lol, maybe i should make only for personal use...) If your files are available for anyone, maybe you could share the link/page to my friends  What kills me isn't the need to update the translation every week, but doing it and not being able to enjoy it because of lag >_> Sorry if i said anything uncalled for. And gratz Jentastic for the initiative of the forum. |

Expanding as I went along (pet.xml, petskill.xml, msg.xml, the one that has npc chat.). Someone sent me a link to another Eng patch that had a few things I was missing, or did things a bit differently. Used parts of that an parts of mine to make an amalgamation. Mine are easy to remove, I would just like to make it something that ALO can update on it's own so that even if I don't have time to do it, or if I only do it once every blue moon, it still can run without errors. I would actually have to start again mostly from scratch.. I have kept a scattered list of things from all english patches I have ran into but it's all mostly 6 months old, and by this time.. Well. It wouldn't be too difficult to make something for me to combine the english/chinese AO files auotmatically for me, so it wouldn't be too hard.. (programming ftw.) I might get into it again. Might not, I have side projects that are in the process atm that relate to it. (if I make the program, it would actually be a lot easier to make english patches.. So I suppose I should..)Going through manually gets tiring xD. |
